Tada! Here is the invitations I made for the little one's birthday party. So simple, yet I love them. I so proud of my 'skills'. I'm telling you if I could find a way to make money from doing this kinda stuff I'd be first in line. My friend who taught me all about the scrapbooking/card making ways used to make a bunch of card packets and set up a table at local craft events. Hmmmm....something to make a mental note about.
So, last night I watched 'City of Angles' (for like the 100th time). Love, love, love that movie. Has me bawling like a baby every damn time too. For some reason this time really had me thinking about stuff. About God and angles and all that spiritual stuff. I know I don't go to church every week like my mom would like, but I feel like I have an awesome relationship with God. Him and I talk frequently!! Last year especially....ha ha. There was one part in the movie where Nicholas Cage and the other angel were having a conversation about why humans can't see angles. They were in a convienience (damn that doesn't look like how you spell that) store where a robbery was about to take place. They each put their hands on the robber and the store owner, and a sense of peace/calm came over them. A sense like everything was going to be ok. The one angel looked at Cage, afterwards, and said "They don't need to see us." Kinda like they/we just know they're there....at all the right times too. I really feel like this is true.
I know I've found both strength and peace at times when I didn't think I would/could. I've felt that overwhelming calm wash over me. Only a couple times, but it was unexplainable. It made me think about when I left my husband. I had the truck all packed up in the garage, and was standing on the landing/entryway heading downstairs to leave....and I couldn't. I was physically frozen in fear. That's when I prayed. I asked God that if this was really what I was suppost to do that I needed his help to walk away. If not I would march back upstairs and figure something else out. I stood there, for what seemed like forever, both shaking and frozen in fear. Then a clam washed over me. Somehow I knew all was going to be ok, that I was making the right decision, and then my feet moved. I never looked back. The experience left me speechless for quite awhile.
I know there are lots of us going thru a lot of shit right now. I'm not trying to jump on the bible band wagon, it's just not me, but I think as long as we believe that God or whomever you believe in knows how things are suppose to be, and when, that maybe things will be a little bit easier to deal with. I know I find comfort in that. Maybe some of you will too.
Love you guys, and I'm here for you! (you know who you are) We'll get thru all this crap, somehow, but at least we have eachother.
Hugs and Kisses
